2 April 2017 On contacting our usual participants there was 13 positive responses to taking part in this year´s Disability Games run by Scunthorpe Rotary Club and others in District 1270 at The Pods in Scunthorpe. Sadly one of our members had been moved to live with a carer in Sutton on Sea but joined up Rotary was the order of the day and he was taken on board by Spilsby Rotary Club and was able to attend. Rotarians from Lincoln were Malcolm and Sheila Webb and Malcolm Miller as well as Peter and Audrey Manton. Our team had entered Archery, Rifle Shooting, Boccia, Kurling, Snooker and Table Tennis and Eddie in the wheelchair events. The team did well in Archery with Joanne Brennan coming second over all. David Tolley had a high score but only if you counted one of his arrows which scored well in a neighbouring target. In the rifle shooting it was the straw safety bales that suffered most. Some members went through the second and even third rounds of knock out events and David Tolley got through to the fourth round in Darts before being dismissed.
