Speaker: Dawn Nightgale, Lincoln Community Larder previous     next

11 November 2024

Dawn spoke to the members about the Lincoln Community Larder. It is a registered charity which aims to relieve poverty in the Lincoln area through the provision of basic nutritious food and other basic amenities to those in need of short term help.

Dawn explained that the Community larder works in conjunction with the YMCA, St Giles Church, and various other representatives in surrounding villages. The recent harvest Festival had created a peak in their supplies, but their needs are constant.
She drew our attention to a typical sample of 3- days supply of food which she had brought to show us. The current high cost of living is increasing demand and Dawn thanked us for our recent contributions.
