14 December 2018 The Rotary Club´s in Lincoln annual carol service, which was held in St. Nicholas Church Newport on Friday 14th December, was conducted by Honorary Rotarian the Rev. Dr. Hugh Jones. The seven readings were given by President John Cawdell (Lincoln), President Chris Milnes (Lindum), David Lee (Bailgate), James Wood (Colonia), Simon Clarke & Terry Coffee (Lincoln) & the Rev. Hugh Jones. The Lincoln Fire & Rescue Band played introductory music and a rousing seasonal finale as well as accompanying the carol singing ably assisted by organist Simon Clarke. The temporal needs of the congregation were satisfied by Neil Curtis & Joyce Lee providing refreshments after the service. Thanks to all who attended especially the Rev Hugh Jones for officiating.
